Artist's Comments

A friend brought his remaining fireworks and I got a chance to try and photograph it because the booze didn't allow me do that on new years eve. ;P

We put it in a pile of sand (clever, eh?) and placed so it would explove above the lake. Then we lit it and ran. And it did explode right above the water. :aww:

Here's one that did not take off.
Luckily, it did not harm the camera or any people.

I'd say keep it in color. The orange colors add the feel of fireworks. When people thing of fireworks they think of sparks and color. In b&w, all you'd get is sparks. XD Anyways, I love the angle of this and the curve that the firework creates. There's a little thing in the bottom right corner though that's a bit annoying. But cropping it out gets rid of some of the firework. Which isn't cool. :(

Anyways, great shot.

Good point about the B&W. I just felt like it becuase I don't really find the colors very pleasing.

Which thing do you exactly mean? The fire or the dark pile of sand/stones?
I tried to burn the fire in the corner, but it didn't really look much better.

Thanks for the comment! :)

I guess it's the dark pile of the sand/stones that I'm talking about. Definitely not the firework. I like that. Hah....we don't even know what I'm talking about so I guess it doesn't really matter that much. XD
